项目摘要

本研究の目的は，順序カテゴリデータから計算される相関係数のバイアスが，信頼性係数や因子分析などの心理学領域でよく用いられる手法に与える影響を評価し，その対処法を検討することであった。2021年度は，相関係数のバイアスが信頼性係数を与える影響を中心に検討した。モンテカルロ法による一連のシミュレーションを行い，心理学の研究領域で頻繁に用いられる信頼性係数であるα係数やω係数に与える影響を評価した結果，カテゴリ数が少ない場合や，カテゴリ境界値が分布の端の方にある場合には，α係数やω係数は過小推定することを報告した。この問題の対処法の一つとして，順序カテゴリデータ向けに提案されている非線形SEM係数の性能を評価するシミュレーションを実施し，非線形SEM係数はモデルが正しく特定されている条件でかつ十分に大きいサンプルサイズがある場合には信頼性の正確な推定値となるが，これらの条件が違反された場合には過小推定や過大推定する場合があることを報告し，その利用に際しての留意点を検討した。これらの研究結果は2021年度の教育心理学会の総会において発表された。また，検討の過程でω係数の様々なヴァリエーションに関する整理を行い，これらの使い分けの方法を提案した。結果は2021年度の行動計量学会の大会において発表された。なお続く2022年度の研究において，相関係数のバイアスが因子分析に与える影響を検討する予定であったが，研究代表者の就職に伴いこの研究課題は廃止されることが決定しているため，現在までの検討で得られた成果のみが今後報告される予定である。
