今年度は前年度に引き続き3度にわたり史料調査を実施した。フィールドはいずれも現長野県飯田市の松川入山林であり、調査対象は、明治・大正期に当該山林の管理主体であった町村組合の運営資料を所蔵している「松川入文書」（飯田市林務課蔵）および関係町村の役場文書などの周辺史料である。研究課題としていた当該時期における地域の共有資源管理に関する地域団体史料のうち約四箱分の収集が完了した。既に実施していた近代移行期の分析を踏まえながら、地域団体（町村組合）による山林経営について明治期以降の史料の分析を進めた。移行期に林産物収入が団体財政に組み込まれ、引き続き明治後期においても林産物収入を主とする財政的利害に基づいた地域団体の運営方針が強化されていったが、第一次大戦期には一転して地域内のエネルギー需要を重視する地域工業利害が顕在化するという変化が見られた。その背景には、同時期に団体関係町村において産業組合が相次いで成立するなど、製糸業を中心とする地域産業の組織化があると考えられる。団体の管理する山林から地域産業や住民へ優先的に薪材が供給されるようになった一方で、団体がより直接的な自営事業として林業経営に携わるとともに林業労働者については外部からの流入も見られるなど、資源管理面では山林経営への特化が観察された。一般に近代期の地域資源管理の傾向として大都市消費を前提とする財政的利害への傾斜が指摘されるのに対して、本研究からは地域資源の市場対応の複線化を示す重要な事例分析が得られたと言える。なお、研究成果として近世・近代移行期における財政構造の変化と資源管理の関係を検討した論文が公表された。また、先の分析結果を踏まえ口頭の学会報告を実施した。
