项目摘要

令和4年度は、前年度に引き続き、倉林誠一郎旧蔵資料のうち、日記（以下、倉林日記）の整理・調査・考証を行なった。第一に、1952年までの倉林日記の翻刻作業を終え、判読不明箇所や登場する人物の確定など、1947年以降の「占領期」に関する部分を中心に翻刻の精査・内容の考証等を進めた。詳細の検討は次年度も継続するが、戦後演劇において「新劇」というジャンルが「興行」として商業演劇と不可分であり、その結節点としての倉林という個性の存在が浮かびあがってきた。それらに加え、1953年以降の翻刻等にも着手している。第二に、資料保存および翻刻作業の分担等の観点から、倉林日記のデジタル化を優先的に進め、1970年代までの日記のデジタル化が完了した。研究代表者と研究分担者間での日記データの共有体制は有効に機能している。内容の精査は次年度の課題だが、劇団俳優座と俳優座劇場の分裂期等の日記が書かれていないことなど、日記以外の文献、倉林以外の関係者の資料等をあわせて検討する必要性が明らかになった。第三に、倉林日記の記述と同時代の演劇界の動向や社会状況等を対照するために、同時代紙誌や倉林の著作等の調査も継続して行なった。ことに、倉林が本格的に「制作者」として演劇（界）に携わるまでの経緯を講究し、従来言及されてこなかった倉林の事績について解明するとともに、演劇制作者としての倉林およびその職掌を、興行史研究のなかに位置づけることを試みた。第四に、倉林が長年芸団協で数々の政策提言等を行なってきたこと、令和4年が劇場法施行10年にあたることから、倉林の事績から現代的課題に接続しうる道を講究するシンポジウムを開催し、現代の現場の視点から遡行して倉林の思考を探索することもめざした。今後は、倉林日記の翻刻およびデジタル化を進め、それらを検討した成果は随時学会での発表や論文化を通して公開する予定である。
