本研究は認知言語学の枠組みで文法的構文の成立や変化の過程を分析し、構文ネットワークモデルの理論的な検討と精緻化を目指している。以前より研究を進めている始動相構文の研究を踏まえ、主要部内在型関係節構文についての研究へと進めていく。2022年度は昨年度に引き続き通時的構文文法や構文ネットワークに関する文献の収集を行うと共に、主要部内在型関係節構文についての先行研究の文献調査に着手した。後者について、日本語学での通時的な研究を改めて見直すのに加え、生成文法や認知言語学等の理論的研究にも目を向けた。この構文については「名詞節」分析vs.「副詞節」分析という対立が中心であったのが、特に2010年以降、構文という概念を用い、この対立自体を否定する新たな共時的分析が提案されていることを確認した。この分析には説得力を感じる一方、本研究が捉えようとする通時的な成立や変化にどのように適合するのか、など、新たな問題の視点が得られた。今後はさらに通時的なデータを精査し、理論との調和点を探っていく予定である。2022年度は2021年8月のInternational Conference of Construction Grammarで口頭発表をおこなった始動相構文の分析の一部分をもとにした論文を執筆し、『同志社大学英語英文学研究』104号に「中世と近世におけるVカカルとVカケルの始動用法：語彙的アスペクト複合動詞と構文ネットワークの観点から」(pp. 99-136)として発表した。それぞれの構文の変化の様相を実証的に検証すると共に、その関連する構文の変化を、構文間の影響関係を踏まえて捉える構文ネットワークを提案した。この問題については、さらに2023年度に近世以降の変化についての論考をまとめる予定をしている。
