项目摘要

本研究は、日本語/英語の小説テクスト（原文/訳文）を対象に、事態把握の様式の傾向の観点から分析を行うことにより、①日英の語りの描写パターンを抽出し、②そのような描写パターンを可能にしている日英の文法・語彙装置（「する」表現などの主観動詞・モダリティ助動詞など）を特定し、③日英の語りの共通点と相違点を明らかにすることを目的としている。2年目は、認知言語学と日本語学を専門に研究している大西美穂氏が本プロジェクトに加わり、１）事態把握の様式について、２）主観性・主体性という概念について、認知言語学の理論に基づく考察を行った。先行研究による理論面の発展の推移や最近の動向についても整理した。さらに研究代表者の都築は、youの不定用法の考察し、研究分担者の大西は、日本語における五感や体内感覚を表現する「する」表現などを含めた知覚・感覚表現を考察した。3年目は、都築は、youの英語の語りにおける使用、および間接引用などの現象を考察し、それらに対応する日本語テクストの分析を行う。研究分担者の大西は、引き続き日本語における「する」表現などを含めた知覚・感覚表現について考察を深める。日本語の語りのテクストを含む言語資源を用いて、語彙、文法、情報構造の各レベルでの分析を行う。最終的には日英の語りに用いられる文法・語彙装置の比較・考察を通して、相違点を特定し、英語教育に役立てたい。
