项目摘要

2022年度は計画通り「「空付加詞読み」テストの妥当性」について検討を行った。「付加詞は独立に削除できない」という前提から、付加詞が削除領域に解釈上含まれる場合は、主要部移動が形成する残余動詞句が削除されている証拠になると主張されている（Hayashi 2015, Funakoshi 2016他）。これに対し、本研究では以下2つの反論を行った：[1] 否定よりも広い作用域を取る付加詞の削除：　(1)では、後続文において付加詞が否定よりも広い作用域を取ることができる。「言われたとおりに」などの随意的に広い作用域を取る付加詞が削除領域において解釈を受けるデータについて、主要部移動を伴う動詞句削除では適切に分析をすることができないことを指摘した。(1) 太郎は言われたとおりに皿を洗った。花子は洗わなかった。[2] 動詞主要部移動を伴わない付加詞の削除：　Funakoshi (2020)は動詞句前置が起こる場合、動詞主要部が元位置に留まるという分析を提案している。もし動詞句を前置させた上で空付加詞読みが可能になれば、動詞主要部移動とは独立に空付加詞が削除されていることになる。(2)のようなデータについて検討を行い、この予測が成り立つことを示した。(2)の後続文では「寝ないで」という付加詞を解釈することが可能である。(2) 花子は寝ないで論文を読む。[論文を書きも]太郎はする。上記[1-2]の成果は既に国際学会で発表をしており、引き続き分析を精緻化する作業を行い、論文としての出版を目指したい。これらに加え、Funakoshi (2020)の動詞句前置を用いた、主要部移動を支持する分析に対する反論も行った。こちらも既に国際学会で発表しており、これから論文としての出版を目指し、研究に取り組んでいく。
