项目摘要

今年度は、公立中学生を対象として、学習者エンゲージメント（ペア・グループ）、英語学習動機、社会的要因（家族の支援・教師の支援・クラスメートの支援）についての質問紙調査を実施した結果を分析している。2022年1月～3月にかけて、公立中学生325名を対象としてオンライン質問紙を実施した。リサーチクエスチョン (RQ)は、1）公立中学生の学習者エンゲージメント、社会的要因、英語学習動機づけの全体傾向と学年別傾向を探り、2）学習者エンゲージメント、英語学習動機づけ、社会的要因の要因間を検討することであった。まず、RQ1) を明らかにするために、全体傾向と学年別比較を行うために、記述統計、相関分析、多変量分散分析を実施している。さらに、RQ2)を明らかにするために、共分散構造分析を実施し、モデル化を行った。結果として、全体傾向としてはエンゲージメント（グループ）が最も高く、英語学習動機づけが最も低い数値を示した。さらに学年別にみると、1年生では家族の支援が最も高く、2年生ではエンゲージメント（グループ）が最も高く、3年生では教師の支援が最も高い数値を示した。相関分析では、1年生は生徒の支援がエンゲージメント（ペア・グループ）と高い相関関係にあり、2年生では、教師の支援がエンゲージメント（ペア・グループ）と高い相関関係にあることが明らかになった。3年生については生徒の支援・教師の支援がエンゲージメントと強い正の相関関係にあることを明らかにしている。共分散構造分析を行った結果、エンゲージメントに働きかかる要因は、教師の支援が最も強く、次いで生徒の支援が強い傾向にあることが明らかになり、ひいては、英語学習動機づけに繋がることを示した。本結果については国内外での学会発表を行う予定であり、論文を執筆し公表していく予定である。
