令和4年度は第3～5回研究ミーティング、第2回巡検を実施した。第3回ミーティング（2022年7月31日）では西野元勝氏（鹿児島県歴史・美術センター黎明館）による講演「鹿児島（鶴丸）城跡の調査成果 ～近年の発掘調査成果を中心に」を開催した。鹿児島城跡の調査成果について、さまざまな質疑応答がなされた。第4回ミーティング（2022年10月29日）は、鹿児島県歴史・美術センター黎明館所蔵の「鹿児島城下絵図屏風」「先々代様御手許品より鹿児島城下絵図」（玉里島津家資料）を実見し、古絵図から得られる城下町情報の精度・確度について検討した。第5回ミーティング（2023年3月24日）では令和4年度の研究成果について各分担者が報告した。内容は以下の通りである。渡辺芳郎「鹿児島城跡出土の記銘陶磁器」、森脇広「城の石垣の風化地形と環境－比較地形学的視点からの貢献－」、小林善仁「鹿児島の絵図研究の現状－鹿児島城下町の絵図の場合－」、丹羽謙治「鹿児島大学附属図書館蔵『上下武者踊之記』」。第2回巡検（2022年10月29日）は、鹿児島城下町の旧海岸線を歩くことで、城下町の輪郭を把握した。

In the fourth year, the third to fifth rounds of research and the second round of inspection were carried out. The third session (July 31, 2022) was opened by Nishino Motokatsu (History of Kagoshima Prefecture, Dawn Museum of Fine Arts). The results of the investigation of Kagoshima Castle were questioned and answered. The 4th edition (October 29, 2022) was published by the Kagoshima Prefecture History Museum and Art Museum."Kagoshima Castle"(Tamari Shimazu Family) was published by the Kagoshima Prefecture History Museum and Art Museum. The 5th chapter (March 24, 2023) was published by the research results of the 4th year. The content is below. Yoshiro Watanabe,"Notes on pottery magnets unearthed in Kagoshima Castle," Yoshihito Mori,"Weathering topography and environment of the city's Ishigaki: contributions from comparative topography," Yoshihito Kobayashi,"Current status of research on Kagoshima Castle: occasions of Kagoshima Castle," Kenji Niwa,"Notes on upper and lower martial arts, Kagoshima University Library." The 2nd tour (October 29, 2022) was held on the old coastline of Kagoshima Castle.
