本研究は、売り手が多数の財を売却するとき、売り手収入の意味で最適な複数財オークションとはどのようなルールかについて、ゲーム理論的に考察するものである。特に買い手が財に対して多次元の私的情報を持つとき、一般的に複数財の最適オークション設計は極めて困難であることが知られているが、どのような環境であれば直感的で現実的なルールによって売り手収入が最大化されるかを明らかにすることが本研究の主要な目的である。令和4年度の主要な研究成果として、令和3年度にワーキングペーパーとして公開した論文"Position auctions with multidimensional types: revenue maximization and efficiency"の内容を大幅にアップデートした。本研究では、買い手が2次元の私的情報を持つような複数財オークション環境で、シンプルなオークションルールは一般に最適になりえないこと、および売り手に留保価値がある場合に非常に限定された条件下でシンプルなオークションが最適となることを示した。この研究成果について2022年8月に開催された国際学会で報告し、そこでのコメント等を踏まえた改訂がほぼ終了したところである。改訂に合わせ、論文タイトルを変更する予定である。また別論文として、免許や企業買収のようにオークション後の投資によって財の価値が内生的に決まり、かつ買い手が何らかの資金制約に縛られている状況でのオークション設計の研究について、ワーキングペーパーを公開した（"Post-auction Investment by Financially Constrained Bidders"）。
