项目摘要

2年目は1年目の研究成果に基づき『テ・ファーリキ』が育成を目指す非認知能力の抽出を行った。本年度の最も重要な成果は、2017年版『テ・ファーリキ』が「21世紀の市民育成」を究極目標に掲げ、それに関わる非認知能力育成を重視することを解明した点にある。今年度はまず4つの方法原理(エンパワメント・ホリスティックな発達・家族とコミュニティー・関係性)における非認知能力育成の方法原理を分析した。４つの方法原理は、保育者が環境構成及び保育実践の際に常に意識する指針として機能する。４つの方法原理は、特に子どもが社会と接点を持つ過程において子どもの非認知能力を引き出す。これは「21世紀の市民育成」を究極目標に掲げる2017年版『テ・ファーリキ』の最も重要な指針である。さらに5つの要素(ウェルビーイング・帰属感・貢献・コミュニケーション・探究)における非認知能力育成の目標、内容、アセスメントの理論の抽出を行なった。５つの要素については、特に「帰属感」と「貢献」が市民性育成の中心的な要素であった。これらの要素を分析すると、子どもたちが家族、保育施設、コミュニティーとの関わりに①関心を持ち、②熱中し、③困難に立ち向かい、④他者とコミュニケーションを図り、⑤自分自身の責任を果たす、という市民としての「学びの構え」を育成している。このような市民としての「学びの構え」が『テ・ファーリキ』が育成を目指す非認知能力である。これは1996年初版『テ・ファーリキ』から編纂に関わるマーガレット・カーの所論を背景にしつつ、近年重視されるレジリエンスといった概念も融合するものとなっている。2年目の後半には、上記の分析から非認知能力育成に関する仮説を立て、研究協力者によるニュージーランド現地における調査活動も展開した。
