项目摘要

【申請時の研究目的と方法の概要】中東・北アフリカの歴史都市において、ギリシア・ローマ時代の都市計画遺構は、イスラーム期より今日まで継承されている都市内遺跡としてのヘレニズム基盤と位置付けうる。本研究では、その継承の様相を、住民による居住実践を中心にとらえ、（コロナ対応も念頭に）図面を中心とする文献調査から明らかにする。対象は、アルジェリア、レバノン、シリア、トルコの各遺跡・都市である。(1)ヒッポダモスの都市計画論、(2)ギリシア・ローマ遺跡の地域特性、(3)イスラーム期の移行過程分析、(4)ソヴァジェ仮説の検証、(5)現代の都市計画、文化財保全、観光等における検討、の5つの小目的によりアプローチする。【本年度の研究実績】現代の都市計画における事例として、1950年代におけるフェルナン・プイヨンによるアルジェ三地区の実現プロセスとその内容評価を行った。具体的には、英文翻訳論文の発表に加え、プイヨンが範を得たムーア建築についての現地調査を、22年9月にかけてイランのイスファハーン（メイダーン広場）及びアルジェリアにて行った。プイヨンは三地区の計画において、メイダーン広場とガルダイアの建築に範を得たと述べている。メイダーン広場では広場の規模感、柱廊とスークの空間構成等を調査した。また、ガルダイアでは連続する小さな窓の構成を調査した。アルジェの実現された計画空間において、ローマ建築に範を得たと思われる大型の柱廊や広場の存在を確認した。その他、アルジェリアのローマ遺跡としてジャミラ、イッポーヌ等のローマ遺跡の現地調査を行った。また、ダマスクス及びアレッポ（シリア）の都市通史を扱った英文学術書の邦訳出版を行った。その際にヘレニズム基盤からイスラーム的市街地への変容について検証を行った。その他、指導学生を主著者とする発表論文の執筆において、関連する知見を活かしての研究教育的成果を得た。
