本研究の目的は、女性がロールボックスパレットを操作する際の身体的負担及び視覚特性について生理指標及び主観指標を用いて明らかにすることにより、女性が健康で安全に働く作業環境を整備するための知見を得ることである。ロールボックスパレットは荷物を大量に運搬する際の利便性が高いことから、産業場面において広範かつ頻繁に使用されている。しかし、積載重量や作業姿勢によっては過度の身体的負担が生じることや重大な事故を引き起こす危険性が高まることが指摘されている。ロールボックスパレットに関わる安全性については国内外において検証が進められてきているが、以下3点について体系的に検証を行った研究は認められない。第1点はロールボックスパレット操作時における身体的負担の性差である。第2点はロールボックスパレット操作時における視覚的注意の配分特性である。第3点はロールボックスパレットを複数の作業者で操作した場合における身体的負担及び視覚的注意の配分特性である。以上の点について検証を行い、ロールボックスパレット操作時の身体的負担の軽減化と操作時の安全性を向上させるために必要な知見を得ることは労働安全衛生上、重要な課題であると考えられる。2022年度はロールボックスパレットを2名で操作する条件における運搬物の積載位置、積載の高さ、把持位置等を決定した。また、交付申請書に記載した実験手続きの再検討を行い、実験プロトコルを確立した。
