项目摘要

申請研究を遂行した結果、ハタンポ科魚類を含む数多くの海産魚類の標本を収集することができ、DNA解析用の遺伝子標本に加え、RNA解析用の鮮度の良い遺伝子標本を収集することができた。とりわけ、台湾で収集したRNA用の鮮度の高い標本は、当初想定していた以上に発展的な遺伝子解析が可能であり、また、市場にて収集した標本からも高鮮度な組織標本が必要なRNA解析が可能であることが明らかになった。なお、遺伝解析に必要な南半球産のハタンポ科標本の採集の予定が新型コロナウィルスの影響により引き続き困難であったことから、オーストラリア・ニュージーランドに所在する博物館機関の魚類研究者に連絡し、遺伝標本の提供の手続きを進めている。収集した標本のうち、ハタンポ科標本については海外研究者のランディ・ムーイ氏との連携のもと、これまでに集積した標本も含めて形態観察や遺伝子解析を実施したことによりハタンポ科全体の整理も進み、現在は属の分類学的な整理を進めている。３月には台湾の北部を訪問し、基隆の魚市場と宜蘭縣大溪の魚市場にて標本収集を進め、国立海洋大学の研究室を借りて標本の作製と遺伝子標本の摘出を進めることで、生物発光研究の土台となる深海性の発光性魚類を積極的に収集した。訪問した博物館の所蔵標本を観察し、野外における観察や標本の採集をおこなった結果、ハゼ科やハタ科、テンジクダイ科、イトヨリダイ科、トラギス科、ナガアオメエソ科の複数の未記載種や日本初記録種、稀種の発見につながった。これらの発見の一部は原著論文として投稿中、受理済または発表済である。
