感染症患者に対する看護師の倫理的行動および倫理的行動に影響する要因について、感染症看護専門看護師（以下CNS）および感染管理認定看護師（以下ICN）、看護管理者、感染症病棟の看護師を機縁法でリクルートしインタビューを実施した。対象者は総計19名で、勤務地は東北、関東、中部、近畿地方であった。CNSは3名、ICNは4名で、看護師平均年数は24年、CNSまたはICNとしての勤務平均年数は9.6年であった。看護管理者は5名で、看護部長（局長）経験平均年数は3.8年であった。感染症病棟の看護師は7名で、看護師経験平均年数は21.1年、感染症病棟勤務の平均年数は4.1年であった。インタビュー内容は、感染症患者の看護で大切にしていること（必要な配慮）、倫理上の問題とその要因等で、リモートでの半構造化面接法を実施した。録音データから逐語録を作成し、文脈を読みとって切片化したコードから意味内容が類似しているものを集め、帰納的に＜サブカテゴリ＞、≪カテゴリ≫、【コアカテゴリ】へと抽象化し分析した。感染症病棟の看護師の倫理的行動については、【感染症患者に必要と考えて実践した看護】、【感染症看護の実践を支えるもの】の2コアカテゴリ、≪患者・家族への精神的ケア≫、≪感染症看護を支える規範≫など5カテゴリ、<面会できない患者のために家族とつないだ>、＜閉鎖環境に置かれた患者への心のケアを重視した＞等、19サブカテゴリが抽出された。倫理的課題については、【感染症看護における倫理的課題】、【看護師の倫理的行動を妨げるもの】の2コアカテゴリ、≪感染防止策が患者の利益に反することへのジレンマ≫、≪問題ある看護師自身の行動≫など5カテゴリ、＜行動制限で運動ができず、ADLが低下するのをもどかしく思った＞、＜自分自身が感染していないか不安だった＞等、29サブカテゴリが抽出された。
