本研究の目的は、美容医療を受けた患者の周術期で体験する世界や心理過程を明らかにし、看護支援を明確化することである。近年、雑誌やインターネット、マスメディアにおいて美容医療サービスに関する情報が公開されており、美容クリニック数も増加傾向にある。プチ整形と呼ばれる治療で気軽に美容医療が受けられるようになった反面、施術後の経過において誰にも相談できず孤立するなど精神的な負担を抱えるケースも多い。日本では、美容整形をタブー視してきた歴史があり、合併症が生じたり期待通りの結果にならなかった場合でも自由診療の範囲のため蔑ろにされてきた背景がある。そのため、美容医療を受けた患者の心理過程を明らかにすることで、必要な看護を明らかにし、心身ともに支援していく必要があると考える。本研究の実施計画として、令和３年度は第一段階として美容医療を受けた患者の意思決定の背景からダウンタイムが明けるまでの体験や思いについてインタビューを行う。令和４年度は、第二段階として美容医療に関わっている看護師から実際行っている支援についてインタビューを行う。令和５年度は、第三段階として美容医療を受けた患者の心理過程と看護の実際を比較し、必要な看護支援を明らかにすることとした。令和３年度は、美容医療を受けた患者の心理について海外論文での文献検討を行い、患者の特徴を理解するよう努めた。また、第一段階に着手し、美容医療を受けた10名の患者にインタビューを実施した。その結果について質的分析を行い「美容整形を受ける患者の心理過程」についてのカテゴリ化を行った。令和4年度は、美容医療を受けた患者の心理過程について論文化し学会誌への投稿を進めた。今後は、看護師の支援についてのインタビューを行い、結果の論文投稿を目指すとともに、美容医療を受けた患者の心理と看護の実際を比較していく。
