本研究は、地域に暮らす高齢者が最期まで自分らしく生きる力を育むために現存する地域高齢者サロンにおけるナラティブ・コミュニティ（語り合いの場）の生成に取り組むアクション・リサーチである。昨年に引き続き、参加者として課題解決に向けてアクションを計画する参加型アクション・リサーチを行っている。2022年度も新型コロナウイルス感染拡大に伴い、健康状態の観察や換気、マスク着用の上、通常のサロン開催時間を短縮し1時間程度の短時間開催となった。開催は、11回で、都内の1日の感染者数が4万人を超えた7月は休会となった。各回の参加者数は7～19名（延べ数161名）であった。【参加のきっかけ】参加者は案内のチラシまたは知人の誘いによって参加しており、新たな参加者は5名ほどで継続して参加している者は2名であった。【サロンのプログラム】通常のプログラムに加え、地域で互助活動をする講師を招き、老いや障がいがあっても地域で過ごすために何ができるか考える機会を持った。【サロンの雰囲気】サロンのアンケートでは2/3の人が話しやすいと感じていたが、参加して間もない人からは親しいメンバー同士の会話についていけないといった意見も見られた。【サロン参加による変化】知り合いが増えた、会の参加を楽しみにしている、人生を大事に過ごしていきたい、卒寿を元気に迎えたい、病気はいろいろあるが克服したいといった前向きな反応が見られた。【将来の不安】健康状態の主観的評価は平均7.5点（範囲4-10）、生活の満足度は平均7.2点（範囲3-10）であったが、8割の人が将来に不安があると感じており、サロンでの交流を通して健康、自立、最後の時間の充実を目指したいと願っていることがわかった。2023年度は、参加者のニーズや思いに沿ってサロン開催を続けていきながら、参加者の詳しい思いや考えについてインタビュー調査を行う予定である。
