如何从政治社会学的角度来理解和解释跨国的联合过程和伴随的新的治理人民形式？该电视网并不认同政治衰落的流行诊断。相反，我们侧重于参与那些导致建立跨国秩序形式的政治进程的代理人。这种政治进程不仅存在于政治本身，也存在于民族国家范围内的其他社会领域以及其他领域。这些联合过程导致了植根于跨国领域的各种治理形式。不同的跨国治理形式可以从两个维度进行区分：根据其组织形式，它们可能更多地以国家为中心或独立；根据其合法化逻辑，它们可能更民主或更专业。该网络追求三个目标：第一，绘制与政治相关的跨国进程的范围；第二，必须区分分析这些进程的适当方法；第三，推断关于已确定的跨国进程模式的概括性陈述。为了实现这些目标，该网络聚集了讲德语的年轻研究人员，他们以前曾使用现场分析方法研究过跨国化的不同政治相关现象，旨在通过加强与植根于法国领域理论欧洲研究以及以美国领域为中心的新制度主义的研究人员的合作，创造一个持久的跨国研究背景。

How can transnational processes of sociation and accompanying new forms of governing people be understood and explained from a political sociology perspective? The network does not share the popular diagnosis of politics in decline. Instead we focus on agents engaging in those political processes that lead to the establishment of transnational forms of order. Such political processes are to be found in politics proper as well as other social fields in nation state contexts and beyond. These processes of sociation result in a wide range of governance forms rooted in transnational fields. The different transnational governance forms can be distinguished along two dimensions: according to their organizational form they might be more state centered or independent; according to their logics of legitimization they might be more democratic or expertocratic. The network pursues three goals: First, the range of politics-related transnationalisation processes is to be charted; second, adequate methods for analysing these have to be distinguished; third, generalizable statements on the identified process-patterns of transnationalisation are to be inferred. To attain these goals, the network gathers young German speaking researchers who have previously investigated different politics-related phenomena of transnationalisation using a field-analytical approach and is aimed at creating a durable transnational research context by intensifying collaboration with researchers rooted in French field-theoretical European studies as well as in US-American field-centered neo-institutionalism.
