我が国の妊娠出産に関する課題は、少子化、ハイリスク妊娠、生殖補助医療の進歩の伴う妊娠と合併症、児童虐待及び周産期のメンタルヘルスの問題がある。特にメンタルヘルスの問題は妊産褥婦の自殺だけでなく、産後の育児や子どもの成長発達にも影響する。予防という視点からみると、妊娠期のメンタルヘルスの不調の要因を適切に評価し、可視化することが必要である。妊産褥婦への使用が可能で、日本の医療事情に大きく外れがない看護理論を探索した。その結果Solchany博士が開発した理論「Promoting Maternal Mental Health During Pregnancy」が該当した。Solchany博士の許可と指導の下、理論を基盤に日本語の質問紙票を作成し、妊娠期のメンタルヘルスを維持増進するための尺度を開発することを目標に研究に取り組んでいる。2021年度の研究実施状況については、調査場所はAクリニックの助産師外来とB市の妊婦を対象に調査を行った。１．Aクリニックでは、昨年度同様の方法で調査を行い、一部を分析した。１）日本語で作成した質問紙に対象者68名（有効回答数60名）の回答に、主成分分析を行った。その結果、日本の妊婦に使用できる可能性があることが示唆された。Chronbachαは、.94。主因子分析にて77項目のうち4項目が集約されなかった。２）同質問紙を用いて対象者数280名（有効回答数260名）の構成概念の分析を行った。スクリープロットを作成し因子数は５因子であった。２．B市では地域差の有無を検証するために調査を開始した。B市の妊婦への質問紙調査は現在質問紙を回収中であり、回答数240を目安としている。
