英文摘要
The motion of tracer particles provides insights into the local properties of complex matter with exceptional spatial and temporal resolution using tailor-made core-shell colloidal probes together with optical tweezing, and combined with molecular dynamics simulations. The mechanisms leading to the formation of liquid glass discovered in the first funding period, its region in phase space, and its mechanical and transport properties will be determined experimentally and by theory. This includes the development of experimental set-ups to apply external torques and forces onto the ellipsoidal particles, to investigate the limits of stability of liquid glass and theoretical developments to determine the particle motions in situ and under external driving. This will also extend to assemblies of nanoparticles.
