本研究では、成人を迎えたCHD患者の妊娠出産/親になることへの認識やその経験を通して起こった身体的/精神的変化を明らかにし、妊娠出産/親になるために必要な能力を身につけるための支援の検討を目的としている。研究は3段階で構成されており、これらの結果から妊娠出産/親になるために必要な社会的支援/精神的支援を検討していく予定である。研究1として「妊娠出産/子育てに関する現状の把握」のために国内外の文献検討を行った。研究2では「成人を迎えたCHD患者の妊娠出産/親になることへの認識の把握」のために、成人を迎えたCHD診療専門医療施設にて定期的または不定期的に外来受診を行っている18歳以上のCHD患者へアンケート調査を行う予定であったが、COVID－19の影響で医療機関での調査が困難であったため、文献検討結果と以前他の研究者と共同で実施した「成人CHD女性の結婚・妊娠・出産への思いについて」のアンケート結果の一部を使用して『成人先天性心疾患女性のリプロダクティブ・ヘルス向上に向けた妊娠出産に関する予備調査』としてまとめ、学会誌への投稿を行い、論文化しており、英文での投稿も検討している。本論文では、成人CHD女性の妊娠出産への思いだけでなく、セルフマネジメントに必要な知識の程度も一部垣間見ることができた。本論文のEditrial commentにもあったように、妊娠出産/親になるために必要な能力を身に着けるためには、「いつ」「どこで」「誰が実施する」などを今後の研究の中で明確にしていきたいと考えている。研究3では、妊娠出産/親になった経験のある成人CHD患者のインタビューを予定している。そのため、現在、患者会などとの活動を通して、インタビュー可能な患者の選定を進めていっている。
