2022年度は、研究協力予定施設内の新型コロナウイルス感染状況の拡大により、未実施となっていた実際に車椅子を利用中の高齢者を対象とした研究を、感染状況の落ち着きがみられた下半期より開始し、継続してデータ収集を行い2023年3月末時点で12名のデータが集まってきている。また、2021年度に実施した本研究の着想部分に関連するコメディカルスタッフへの現場アンケート調査結果については、400名より得た回答を、2022年9月の国内学会演題発表し、加えて国内誌・車椅子シーティング研究へ原著論文として受理された。2023年度は、2021年度にデータ収集を行った健常者実験の結果を論文化すること（2023年4月にDisability and Rehabilitation Assistive Technologyに投稿済みで現在査読中）、および2022年度より実施している高齢者実験結果の集約と学会発表および論文化を進めていく予定である。
