本研究では、森林資源が希少であるトルコにおいて、①国有林管理組織である林業総局、②国有林内の不法占拠村落の住民、③森林学部を設置する大学の教員・研究者という多方面への調査を実施することで、トルコにおける不法占拠村落の形成過程や実態を解明する。また、現行の国有林圧力低減対策の効果を検証し、持続可能な国有林共同管理の可能性について検討する。令和４年度は新型コロナウイルス感染症の影響等により、予定していたトルコへの渡航が困難となり現地調査が実施できなかったため、国内で開催された国際学会に出席し、トルコおよびその周辺国の研究者から情報を収集した。また、国内の研究会等に参加し、持続可能な森林管理方法や共同管理の在り方についての知見を広げた。年度の後半には調査票の作成や調査対象の選定等、現地調査の実施に向けた準備を行った。

This study aims to clarify the process and status of illegal occupation of forest villages by investigating the lack of forest resources, the forestry administration, the illegal occupation of forest villages, and the establishment of forestry departments. In addition, the effectiveness of current measures to reduce pressure on state-owned forests will be verified, and the possibility of joint management of state-owned forests will be discussed. In 2004, we collected information on the impact of new types of infectious diseases, such as the implementation of local investigations, the opening of domestic research, and the participation of international researchers. To participate in, maintain, and share knowledge of forest management methods and practices within the country. In the second half of the year, the preparation of survey tickets, selection of survey objects, and preparation for implementation of field surveys are carried out.
