本研究の最終ゴールは、直腸がんにより肛門温存術を受けた患者が、長期化する難治性の排便排便障害を受け入れ、QOLを保ちながら生活することを支援するためのケア方法を探究し、当該患者の排便障害への援助指針を構築することである。本年度の研究活動と研究成果は以下であった。1. 多機関共同による調査の研究計画立案と研究実施準備：直腸がん肛門温存術後3か月～５年以内の患者を対象として、排便障害（LARS;Low Anterior Resection Syndrome）の症状と家庭生活や社会生活における支障、さらに生活満足度とそれに影響すると予測されるセルフケア能力について、詳細に尋ねる質問紙調査の計画と準備に取り組んだ。調査は７施設の外来に通院している患者を対象とした多機関共同研究で、研究デザインは横断調査である。2．医療者も含めLARSに関する知見を広く伝える活動：第48回日本看護研究学会学術集会において交流集会を開催した。そこでは、患者のQOLを尊重するために発展した肛門温存術に伴い出現した排便障害（LARS）を紹介し、そのLARSで苦しむ患者へのケアを探究するために、医療系研究者がチームを組んで組織的に取り組むプロジェクトを紹介した。また、第40回日本ストーマ・排泄リハビリテーション学会総会において、「シンポジウム；肛門温存手術の功罪　QOLから」で「ストーマ造設ー肛門温存　それを患者が選択できるように」と題し本研究の成果も含めて発表した。さらに、LARSのケアに関するScoping Reviewをまとめ、EAFONS2023(26th East Asia Forum of Nursing Scholars)で発表した。これらの成果について、昨年度開設したホームページへ掲載し広く公表した。

This study aims to explore ways to support long-term refractory defecation disorders in patients undergoing anal massage, and to establish guidelines for assistance in patients with defecation disorders. This year's research activities and research results are as follows. 1. Multi-agency joint research project filing and research preparation: 3 months to 5 years after rectal anal massage, symptoms, family life and social life of patients with LARS (Low Anterior Resection Syndrome), obstacles, life span, impact, prediction, assessment, detailed inquiry, paper survey and preparation, selection and organization. The investigation was conducted in a multi-agency joint study, a cross-sectional investigation, and an external hospital. 2. The 48th Japan Nursing Research Association Academic Conference was held to promote the exchange of medical information. The patient's QOL is respected, and anal tenderness is accompanied by defecation disorders (LARS). Medical researchers are invited to organize a study group to introduce LARS. The results of this study are presented in the 40th edition of the Japanese Society for Excretion and Anal Care, entitled "Anal Care for Patients". Scoping Review, 26th East Asia Forum of Nursing Scholars, EAFONS2023 The results of this research were published in the Journal of Public Affairs of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the People's Republic of China.
