直腸がん肛門温存術後の排便障害に対する就労再開・継続のための自立支援教材の学習目標を検討した。検討方法には文献検討を用い、対象者の排便障害に対する心理状況および対処行動（以下、体験）を明らかにした。文献検討は医中誌Web、pub Med、CINAHLを使用して、直腸がん(rectal cancer)、低位前方切除症候群(LARS)、体験(Narration)の3語をANDで組み合わせ、その3語に類似する言葉をORで組み合わせて検索式を作成した。文献の選定基準は、対象者の体験の質的な記述がある、原著論文である、等である。検索では731件（医中誌554件、PubMeD152件、CINAHL25件）が抽出され、最終12件を対象文献とした。文献選定のダイアグラムにはPRISMA2020声明を用いた。結果、対象者の体験には「排便障害がある自身の受容困難」、「排便障害の症状コントロール」、「排便障害を抱えながらの他者との向き合い方」、「就労再開・継続の模索、退院後の支援確保困難」、「がん再発への不安」があった。これらより作成する教材の目標は、①肛門括約筋温存術によって生じた身体の変化を理解する、②排便障害について対処行動がとれる、③排便障害を抱えながらも就労を再開・継続する、④排便障害に対する退院後の相談先を活用する、⑤直腸がん再発のリスクを認識し予防行動がとれるとした。また、教材には対象者の排便障害に対するセルフモニタリングを促進する内容を含める必要があると考える。
