認知症の人の主たる家族介護者400人弱を対象にしたオンライン調査で収集したデータの解析を行った。その結果、専門職を含むアドバンス・ケア・プランニングを実施している認知症の人は、実施していない者と比べて、①うつ症状が重く、②家族のアドバンス・ケア・プランニングに対する懸念は低かった。③家族の懸念の高さと関連していたのはウェルビーイングの低さであった。認知症の人が精神症状を呈する前に、プロアクティブに開始するアドバンス・ケア・プランニングの実践が求められるとともに、家族の懸念に対応する必要性が示唆された。普及啓発プログラムのアウトカムとして認知症に対するスティグマを測定する指標を確立するため、国内の思春期コホートの養育者データを用いて、尺度開発と信頼性・妥当性の検証を実施した。認知症に対するスティグマの高さは近隣住民の結束力の低さと関連していることが確認された。認知症の人と家族の会の協力を得て、都道府県支部のつどいに参加し、協力同意を得られた認知症の人と家族介護者へのインタビュー調査を４件実施した。オランダ・アメリカで先行して実施されたインタビューの結果と比べて、日本では「本人が終末期の過ごし方をコントロールする」という考え方を本人家族ともにもっておらず、専門職等の本人以外がコントロールすることを前提とする文化的な背景があることが示唆された。欧州緩和ケア学会のタスクフォースに委員として参加し、認知症のアドバンス・ケア・プランニングの国際ガイドライン策定に向けた専門家パネル100名強に対するデルファイ調査を実施した。
