We assembled and annotated a highest-quality chromosome-scale genome of the false clownfish Amphiprion ocellaris, an emerging model animal for studying the climate change and ecology using long-read sequencing and chromosome conformation capture techniques. The genome was annotated with 26,797 protein-coding genes. We also identified 72 genes conserved only in A. ocellaris and sister species A. percula branch. These genes are related to nervous system functions potentially indicating the genetic toolkits involved in specific divergence mechanisms.We also generated comprehensive larval transcriptomes of F1 generation of A. ocellaris treated with high summer temperature, which will serve as the genetic resources showing the cellular activities during heat stress.
