项目摘要

18・19世紀の東北地方では、宝暦・天明・天保期の冷害に伴う凶作以外にも、多数の死者が犠牲となる死亡危機が頻発したことが報告されている。しかし、死亡危機の要因は、十分解明されていない。本研究では、陸奥国会津郡金井沢村における毎日の天気と農作業を記録した「農業日記」、1坪の水田から収穫した籾の収量を記録した「作毛位付帳」、若松における穀物価格を記録した「相場書上帳」、および金井沢村周辺の死亡者を供養した寺院「過去帳」にもとづいて、古天気分析システム、「稲の作況史料」分析システム、穀物価格分析システム、および寺院「過去帳」分析システムから構成される「江戸時代の東北地方における死亡危機の要因分析システム」を構築して、気候、稲の作況、穀物価格が死亡指標に与えた影響を多変量解析によって評価する。令和4年度には、前年度に構築した「稲の作況史料」古文書画像データベースに南会津郡福米沢村（1877-1915）と信夫郡小倉寺村（1816-1869）の史料を追加登録した。また、①1坪から収穫された籾容積の時系列変化、②各品種の株数と収量との関係を分析するプログラムを開発した。つぎに、大沼郡横田村BB寺の「過去帳」をDANJUROを構成する寺院「過去帳」古文書データベースに追加登録した。さらに、17世紀末から19世紀初頭の会津若松における穀物価格を10日ごとに記録した「相場書上帳」のうち、貞享5（1688）年から宝暦2（1752）年の64年分を史料入力した。本史料は、令和5年度に構築予定の「穀物価格史料」古文書データベースに登録する計画である。研究成果は、日本人口学会大会、人文地理学会大会、奈良地理学会、歴史ビッグデータ研究会、歴史人口学セミナーで報告した。また、日本文化史研究、第54号に「作毛位付帳」の明治6（1873）年から大正5（1916）年までを翻刻・紹介した。

In the 18th and 19th centuries, the Northeast China suffered from severe cold weather, and the majority of the dead died frequently. The main cause of death crisis is very clear. In this study, we recorded the daily agricultural work in Kanizawa Village, Kyoto Prefecture, Japan, the daily agricultural diary, the daily harvest of rice fields, the daily gross payment, the daily grain harvest in Wakamatsu Prefecture, the daily grain harvest in Kanizawa Village, and the daily grain harvest in Kanizawa Village.
