本申請研究では①病的な歯槽骨吸収や歯の欠損を伴う患者における歯槽骨密度測定法を確立し、「歯槽骨減少症」の疾患定義を行い、②歯槽骨減少症患者からDNAを抽出し、GWAS解析により疾患の発症に関わる遺伝子とその遺伝子多型を明らかにすることを目的とした。これまでに歯の欠損を有する献体を対象に歯槽骨密度測定法の信頼性ならびに妥当性の検討を行ってきた。令和4年度は、これまで同様に新型コロナウイルス感染症がまん延化していたため、献体で確定した測定方法をインプラント周囲炎に対する測定に応用するため、岡山大学臨床研究審査専門委員会へ倫理申請を行い、承認を得た。インプラント周囲炎の患者はコロナ禍であっても治療に来院し続けるため、研究の継続性にも問題がないと判断した。研究の背景としては、インプラント周囲炎の診断にはデンタルエックス線画像におけるインプラント体周囲の骨吸収の評価が重要であるが、規格化されたデンタルエックス線画像においても経時的な骨変化を正確に捉えることは難しいからである。具体的には献体での研究でも使用していた市販ソフトウェアを用いたインプラント体周囲al-BMD評価法の開発を目的に、まずインプラント体周囲の骨吸収部位、今後骨吸収の進行が予測される骨吸収部位直下の骨吸収進行予測部位ならびに非骨吸収部位の関心領域設定案を考案し、3部位のal-BMDの差が検出可能かを検討した。研究対象は、岡山大学病院の歯科・口腔インプラント科部門にてインプラントメインテナンス中の患者が有するインプラント体のうち、インプラント体周囲に骨吸収とプロービング時の出血あるいは排膿を認めるインプラント体とした。

The purpose of this study is to (1) establish a dental densitometry method for patients with dental alveolar bone resorption and dental defects, and to define "dental alveolar osteopenia";(2) extract DNA from patients with dental alveolar osteopenia, and analyze the genetic relationship between the disease and genetic polymorphism. This is a study of the reliability and appropriateness of the imaging technique. In 2004, Okayama University's Clinical Research Review Committee approved the ethical application for the determination of new types of infectious diseases and donor methods. The patients with acute respiratory syndrome were diagnosed with acute respiratory syndrome. Background of the study: It is important to normalize the bone marrow in the diagnosis of chronic inflammatory disease, and it is difficult to accurately detect the bone marrow in the diagnosis of chronic inflammatory disease. Specifically, the study was conducted to investigate the possibility of detecting the difference in al-BMD between the three sites in order to explore the development of the al-BMD assessment method, the bone resorption sites in the body circumference, the bone resorption prediction sites directly below the bone resorption sites, and the non-bone resorption sites. Study Subjects: Patients in the Department of Dentistry and Oral Medicine of Okayama University Hospital have a history of periosteal bone resorption, bleeding, and purulent discharge.
