项目摘要

本研究課題は日本語を母語としない留学生を対象とした研究課題であるが、COVID-19およびそれにかかる日本政府の留学生受け入れ方針により、留学生が渡日出来ないという状況が続いた。「2021年12月には渡日出来る見込み」「2021年2月には渡日出来る見込み」と、随時公開情報は更新され続けたが、度重なる渡日の延期で研究計画は頓挫したままである。このような状況から、研究課題の内容を変更するタイミングも読めず、パイロット調査もままならならず、現在、早々に渡日出来た国の留学生とコンタクトを取り始めたところにある。現時点で、沖縄県に1年間留学していたポーランドの留学生とコンタクトがとれたので、本研究課題の本筋とはずれるが、琉球方言バージョンの『桃太郎』の聴解実験を行った。被験者は伝統的な首里方言で読まれたそれを最初全く聞き取れなかったが、「おじいさん」にあたる語、「おばあさん」にあたる語、琉球方言と本土方言の母音の対応規則の原則を教授することで、ある程度聞き取れるようになった。ここから基礎的な語彙と音の規則を導入することで、日本語のヴァリエーションのかなり広い範囲をカバー出来るのではないかと推測出来た。これについては後日改めて別の音の規則でも実験する予定である。
