项目摘要

本研究の目的は、実践文脈で転用可能な地理的な見方・考え方を働かせた世界地誌学習の具体的なカリキュラムについて、地理学、地理教育学、カリキュラム論の統合的な枠組みから、現場教師の認識を踏まえて、モデル単元を開発し、検証することである。本研究ではこれまで、地理的な見方・考え方を働かせたカリキュラム開発に関する原理や実践状況の整理をもとに、地理的な見方・考え方に関する概念の解釈と世界の諸地域の学習内容の検討、それらを踏まえた目標や単元構想、指導計画等のカリキュラムへの具体的実装を行い授業を実施した。今年度は、開発した単元カリキュラムについて、量的・質的分析によりその特性や有効性について解析及び考察を行い、得られた知見を論文に整理し学会誌に発表した。具体的には、中学校地理的分野「世界の諸地域」を事例に、社会的事象の地理的な見方・考え方を働かせる単元カリキュラムを開発し、中学校における実践と量的・質的データに基づく検証により、単元や各学習活動を越えた汎用性のある地理的な見方・考え方の駆動や資質・能力の育成が確認された。これにより、見方・考え方を働かせる単元カリキュラムの開発に関する参考点として、①開発枠組みとして地理的な見方・考え方の構造的理解と本質的な問いへの変換、②その本質的な問いと学習活動への翻案によるカリキュラムへの構造的な実装の二点が得られた。こうした本研究の知見は、地理的な見方・考え方を働かせたカリキュラム開発に関して、教室で展開可能な単元カリキュラムとして具現化する参考点として位置付き、各学校における応用が可能である。実際に学校に対するコンサルテーションにおいて活用した。
