项目摘要

2022年度は、地域メッシュ統計と国勢調査の小地域統計による社会地区分析を進めるとともに、2022年1月に実施した三大都市圏調査のデータの分析を行なった。その概要は、以下の通りである。第1に、社会地区分析によって、三大都市圏の空間構造、その共通点と相違点、変化の趨勢について検討した。その結果、三大都市圏では共通に、中心都市の中心部およびその近傍に上層階級、周辺部に下層階級が集中するというセグリゲーションの進行と、中心都市中心部におけるジェントリフィケーションの進行が認められた。第2に、三大都市圏調査データの分析からは、(1)三大都市圏は、東京圏で新中間階級、名古屋圏で正規労働者階級、京阪神圏にはアンダークラスが多いという違いはあるものの、ほぼ共通の階級間格差の構造がみられる、(2)三大都市圏では共通に、中心都市中心部に居住歴の短い新中間階級が多くみられ、ジェントリフィケーションの進行が個票データからも裏づけられる、(3)社会的ニーズの充足状況は所属階級によって大きく異なっている、(4)アンダークラスと旧中間階級は新型コロナウイルス感染症の蔓延により、仕事や収入の減少など強いインパクトを受けた、などの事実が明らかにされた。第3に社会地区分析の結果とインターネット調査から得られたデータを結合して、居住地の特徴や類型が、人々に与える影響について分析した。その結果、(1)居住地の特性は、個人の属性から独立に、メンタルヘルスや主観的健康に影響を与えている、(2)居住地の階層構成は個人の属性から独立に社会的ニーズの充足状況に影響している、(3)ジェントリフィケーションの進行が顕著な地域の住民、とくに近年流入してきたジェントリファイヤーは、格差拡大を容認し、自己責任論を支持し、経済に対する規制に反対する新自由主義的傾向を示す、などの事実が明らかにされた。
