(1)国内あるいはミャンマーに居住する、研究対象言語あるいはそれと系統の近い言語の話者を対象にした、オンライン(Zoom、インターネット電話)による対面調査:代表者澤田が行った、日本在住の話者に対するラチッ語の語彙および用例調査、分担者加藤が行った、日本在住の話者に対するポー＝カレン語パアン方言とスゴー＝カレン語パアン方言の上方・下方への動きを表す動詞小辞や適用構文マーカーについての調査、分担者大塚が行った、日本及びヤンゴン在住の話者に対するティディム・チン語、アショー・チン語の中動態標識の調査などがこれに当たる。(2)インターネット上で閲覧可能な少数民族言語による動画の音声書き起こし: 分担者加藤は、ポー＝カレン語による長編ドラマ、短編ドラマ、仏教の法話、インタビュー、日常生活の紹介、一人語りなど、様々な内容の動画の音声書き起こしを母語話者の協力を得て行った。(3)文字表記体系とその使用状況についての研究: 分担者加藤が行った、仏教スゴー・カレン文字(リッタラニャー)および2000年頃に知られるようになったスゴー・カレン語のための文字レクエコー(Lekwaikaw)の調査、分担者大塚が行った、アショー・チン語正書法の記述と普及状況に関する予備調査などがこれに当たる。(4)データの整備:分担者倉部は、ジンポー語の話者の協力を得て、自らが収集したカチン民話114編の英訳を行い、録音・書き起こしテキスト・アノテーションと共に言語アーカイブParadisecで公開した。(5)本科研の今年度までの調査や、先行科研「ビルマ危機言語科研」による調査で得たデータ・研究成果を、国内外の学会やワークショップなどでの口頭発表、学術雑誌への投稿論文や語彙集などの形で公開した。(6) 年度末にZoomで会合を持ち、今年度の総括と来年度の展望、特に成果公開の様々な手段について話し合った。
