项目摘要

2022年度は、ペルー共和国アヤクチョ県に位置するカンパナユック・ルミ遺跡の発掘調査と次年度以降に行う分析のための遺物整理作業を行った。同遺跡においてはこれまでの調査によって公共祭祀空間である「神殿」とその周囲の「居住域」とその内部に位置する「在地宗教伝統の儀礼空間」の存在が確認されているが、それぞれの具体的な機能と関係性に関しては不明な部分が多かった。そのため、それぞれに発掘区を設定し、遺跡全体の構造を考察するための基礎データの取集を行った。その結果、当初はそれぞれが独立していた神殿における儀礼と居住域での儀礼が、紀元前700年頃以降融合し、神殿の中心部においても在地宗教伝統の儀礼空間に見られる儀礼が行われていたことが明らかとなった。中央基壇頂部において基壇周囲を囲む形で10を超える奉納坑が出土し、人間の頭部、破壊された土偶、遠隔地から運ばれた貴石を用いた装身具などが出土した。これによって、600㎞離れた北の大神殿、チャビン・デ・ワンタルに由来する儀礼と在地の儀礼行為が融合していることが明らかとなった。また、神殿建築の基壇から外部へとがその内部に高度な排水システムを有していた可能性が明らかとなった。在地建築には見られない技法であり、チャビン・デ・ワンタル神殿に類似した建築技法である。いずれも地域間交流が在地社会に与えた影響の多面性を実証的に示す貴重なデータであり、アンデス文明形成過程の研究において稀な事例であると位置付けられる。また、今後の理化学的手法を用いた遺物分析のためのサンプルを獲得することができた。神殿中央基壇の発掘において同位体分析に用いることが可能と考えられる保存状態が良好な埋葬が出土し、基壇周辺の廃棄の場からは多数の動物骨が確認された。土器に関しても、胎土分析を行うために必要な様式バリエーションを網羅した遺物が出土した。
