项目摘要

乳児の泣き声は生後間もない乳児が援助の必要性を養育者に伝達するシグナルであり，乳児の生存や，親子間の愛着形成につながる。一方で乳児の泣き声は養育者にとってストレスとなり，産後うつや児童虐待につながることも指摘されている。本研究では，初産の母親が泣き声に適応する過程を明らかにするために，縦断的デザインを用いた研究を実施している。本研究には初産の母親が産後2ヶ月、8ヶ月、14ヶ月の3時点で参加した。各時点で，乳児の泣き声への反応を心理的・神経的に評価した。心理的な反応は，ストループ課題を実施中に乳児の泣き声とホワイトノイズ音を提示し，課題成績への妨害効果を比較することで，乳児の泣き声への注意バイアスの度合いを測定した。1時点目と比べて2時点目では，ホワイトノイズに対しては反応時間の変化が有意でなかったのに対して，乳児の泣き声に対しては反応時間が減少していた。これは，泣き声に対する注意バイアスが1時点目に比べて低下していた可能性を示唆し，時間の経過とともに母親が泣き声の処理を自動化している可能性を示している。神経的な反応はfMRIを用いて評価した。1時点目に比べて，2時点目では中前頭回の泣き声に対する活動が低下していた。この領域は乳児のネガティブな感情刺激の処理に関連し，母親が非母親より強く活動を示すことが知られている。この領域の活動の低下は泣き声への馴化を示し，母親の泣き声に対する適応過程を反映している可能性がある。さらに，1時点目の母親のオキシトシン遺伝子のメチル化の程度を解析したところ，泣き声への上前頭回の活動と正の相関が見られた。これは，オキシトシン遺伝子のメチル化率が高い母親は，泣き声に対して情動的な処理よりも認知的な処理に依存している可能性の一端を示唆する。以上の結果は，時間の経過により母親の泣き声に対する心理的・神経的反応が変化し，適応する様子を初めて明らかにした。
