令和3年度に引き続き、令和4年度も脱構築やトラウマ理論を中心とした批評理論と、研究対象である個別の作家の体験の連関性を探った。主な作業の概要は以下のとおりである。(1)前年度から開始したポール・ド・マンおよびトラウマ理論の再検討を継続した。近年の日英米におけるド・マン研究を調査し、伝記研究、草稿研究、ポスト・ヒューマニズムなどの多様な観点からの先行研究の成果を摂取し、またトラウマ理論に関して、カルースやフェルマンなどの第一世代の理論家たちに対する批判を整理した。それらを踏まえて、石原吉郎のシベリア抑留体験のエッセイの重要性を、トラウマ理論の展開の文脈の中で再評価するという趣旨の英語論文を執筆した。これは、近未来に発表される博士論文の一章分に相当する。(2)大橋洋一・三原芳秋編『文学理論の名著50』（近日刊行予定）の、ジークムント・フロイト『W.イェンゼンの小説『グラディーヴァ』に見られる妄想と夢』の解説を担当した。その作業の中で、ジャック・デリダやサラ・コフマンのフロイト論を参照しつつ、精神分析批評の原点である本書が内包する「テクスト」や「読むこと」に対する洞察に焦点を当てた。以上の作業を通して、「作家のトラウマ的体験をめぐる環太平洋的な視座からの検討」という部分を当初の研究計画から保持しながら、そのようなテーマに関連する批評理論の成立条件にまで踏み込んで考察する方向性へと、研究プロジェクトを発展させた。二年間で得られた成果を結実させ、今後執筆する博士論文にも波及させられるように考察を深める。
