项目摘要

令和3年度および令和4年度は新手法の取得と研究のとりまとめに努めた。令和3年度までは、本研究の主な対象遺跡であるハッサンケイフ・ホユック遺跡の使用痕分析を行った。分析対象資料30 点中25 点の使用面に何らかの使用痕が確認された。分析の結果から、当遺跡から出土した製粉具は基本的に多機能な道具であり、油分・水分を含んだ対象物を中心として様々な用途に使用されたと解釈することができる。また、製粉具のライフ・ヒストリーをより詳細に復元するために、付着物分析や使用痕分析結果の定量化の手法を学んだ。従来製粉具の付着物分析は珪酸体やデンプン粒など植物質のものを対象として行われてきた。しかし、製粉具は食用肉や皮革など植物性資源以外の対象物を加工するために使われる場合もある、ということが民族例や歴史文献で知られている。そのため、筆者は令和3年から4年にかけて土器の付着物分析のエキスパートと共同研究を行い、実験石器を対象に残存有機物分析を行った。出土資料に同分析を行うことは叶わなかったものの、製粉具のライフ・ヒストリーに迫る新規的な方法論の開発につながったと考える。令和3年度にはハッサンケイフ・ホユックの製粉具の使用痕分析について学会発表を行った。また令和4年度には残存有機物分析の予備的成果報告を学会で行った。本研究の最終的な成果は投稿論文の他、学位請求論文の内容としてまとめている。申請者が所属する機関では学位請求論文は一定期間後、オープン・アクセスとなるため、研究成果は広く公表されることとなる。
