本研究の最終目標は，交通系ICカードシステムが未導入な地域における，経路検索システムの検索履歴データを活用した公共交通需要予測手法の開発である．目的達成のために，まず，交通系ICカードデータと検索履歴データの両データの蓄積がある高松市を対象に，《Step1》公共交通需要予測手法の構築と，《Step2》予測可能範囲の検証を行う．そして，得られた予測手法を用いて，交通系ICカードシステムが未導入な鳥取市を対象に，《Step3》公共交通需要の推計し，その予測精度の検証および提案手法の他地域への移転可能性の検討を行う．初年度は《Step1》に取り組み，《Step2》《Step3》を遂行するための準備を整えた．《Step1》に係る研究成果は，（1）経路検索システムの検索者像の解明，（2）検索行動と実行動の関係性の解明の2点に大別される．初年度の成果内容を以下に示す．（1）経路検索システムの検索者像の解明：検索履歴データに現れる移動需要と公共交通の駅周辺環境との関係を定量的に明らかにし，検索者の人物像とその移動目的の推測を試みた．Adaptive Lasso正則化項付回帰モデルを用いた分析の結果，経路検索システムの検索者は住民や観光客との関連が示唆され，診療や不定期に行う購買行動，居住地域とは異なる場所での観光行動のために経路検索システムを利用していると推察された．（2）検索行動と実行動の関係性の解明：検索行動から実行動を推計するために，2変量状態空間モデルと回帰分析を用いた交通需要予測手法を提案した．本研究では，普段とは異なる外出を行う際に経路検索システムが利用されることに着目し，検索件数から非日常的な公共交通利用者数の予測した結果，高い精度で予測可能であることが明らかとなった．
