项目摘要

2022年度は、①国学史像、②久米邦武の思想、③「神道学」史という昨年度の作業、前提としての④神道メディア研究を継続しつつ、⑤日本人論や⑥地方史の方面にも手を広げた。①については「再生する平田篤胤」が公刊された。また、「明治後期における「復古神道」イメージの変化」によって、吉見幸和や増穂残口を含む「国学」史の可能性について問題を提起した。②に関しては、口頭発表「日露戦争以後の久米邦武における神道・宗教観」において、昨年と併せて生涯を検討した。「第10講宗教」では久米を中心に明治後半期の「宗教」に関わる思潮を見通した。なお、久米事件については論文「久米邦武筆禍事件と「国家神道」再々考」を学会誌に投稿し、査読中である。③の専論としては「神道学を建設する」を公刊した。関連するものは久米事件論や大成教禊教など、少なくない。④については、口頭発表「近代神道雑誌史・出版史の新たな展望」を行い、その成果を「史料紹介大日本協会『日本主義』『新天地』の基礎的事項と総目次」、荻原稔氏との共著「大成教禊教『禊教新誌』『禊教会雑誌』『みそゝき』解題・目次」、さらに「新神道とは何であったか」「出版に託された〝一つの神道〟という夢」を公刊した。また、口頭発表「「近代神道」の再定義におけるジェンダー視点」は、ジェンダー視点からの検討を通して、メディアや教派神道などを周縁化しない近代神道史像を提言するものだった。⑤は藤原聖子・稲村めぐみ・坪井俊樹・和田理恵４氏との共著「日本人無宗教論の系譜」であり、同研究ノートを大幅に拡充した『日本人無宗教説』も2023年5月に筑摩選書として刊行予定である。また、菅原潤『梅原猛と仏教の思想』合評会に招待され、登壇した。⑥としては口頭発表「近代横浜の社寺参詣」を行った。伊勢神宮やメディアの扱いなど、今までのテーマと重なりつつも、新たな領域に進出したものである。
