项目摘要

戦後日本美術における音をめぐる本研究は、一次資料の調査にもとづく発見的なアーカイヴであり、研究成果として展覧会の開催と論考の執筆を行う。昨年度までと同様、新型コロナウイルス感染症の広がりによる調査の困難は続いたものの、今年度は長期の調査にもとづく展覧会を開催し、これまでの研究を概観する論考を発表できた。実現できた調査、成果発表は以下の通りである。上田佳代子、堀えりぜ（渡辺恵利世）、堀浩哉、水上旬による1970、80年代作品の一次資料調査。調査の成果発表として次の展覧会の開催、論考の発表を行った。展覧会「日本美術サウンドアーカイヴ──上田佳世子、渡辺恵利世《トートロジー》1973年」。本展覧会は作家が再制作した作品、作家の新作、パフォーマンスの再演、資料の展示などからなる。論考「1970年代の日本美術における音」（『あいだ』）。加えて、70年代日本美術と音の関わりの背景となる、同時代の音響技術文化の研究を行った。その成果の一部として論考「Arranging sounds from daily life: Amateur sound-recording contests and audio culture in Japan in the 1960s and 1970s」が、アジア圏の文化をめぐるサウンド・スタディーズ・アンソロジー『Asian Sound Cultures: Voice, Noise, Sound, Technology』に掲載された。
