项目摘要

1980年代から2000年半ばまでの日本の美術批評を調査した。主に調査したのは、90年代から2000年代半ばにかけてのネオポップからスーパーフラットに至るまでの言説である。スーパーフラット・プロジェクトを始動させた村上隆の理念、背景、経緯、人的ネットワークを確認するとともに、スーパーフラットをめぐる論争を中心に検討した。東浩紀、浅田彰、岡﨑乾二郎、松井みどりら論争の中心人物の言説から、建築業界や広告業界への波及、海外における言説なども調査した。その成果は刊行予定の単著に組み込まれる予定であるが、関連したアウトプットとして、「TOKYO POPとは何だったのか」（『美術手帖』2022年7月号書評）がある。また、1980年代から進む戦後日本美術の再評価の動向について調査した。「現代美術の動向Ⅰ-Ⅲ」展（東京都美術館、1981-84）、「前衛芸術の日本 1910-1970」展（ポンピドゥーセンター、1986）など、戦後日本美術を扱った展覧会を検証するとともに、具体美術協会の再評価の言説についても調査した。『絵画の嵐』展図録（国立国際美術館、1985年）、千葉成夫著『現代美術逸脱史』（晶文社、1986年）、尾崎信一郎「生成と持続－具体美術協会再考」『A&C』誌（1-10号、1987-1989年）などが主なものである。その成果は刊行予定の単著に組み込まれる予定であるが、関連したアウトプットとして、「戦後美術の試金石としての具体」（『美術手帖』2023年3月号書評）がある。
