研究３年目は沖縄大学地域研究所の機関誌『地域研究』No.30 2023年号に論考「時代が追い付けなかった作家ーヴァーン・スナイダーの脱植民地主義テキスト―」を掲載した。所属機関の大学附属図書館のデータ・ベースが使用できなかったため、国立国会図書館・関西館で米国のデータベースからいくつかの英文書評を収集し、Sarah Bird の長編小説２作品に関して論文が一応の完成させた。昨年に引き続き、コロナ禍の影響で海外への渡航が難しく、さらに、物価急上昇のあおりを受けて渡航・宿泊経費の高騰するなかアメリカへの研究旅行を見合わせた。アメリカ人作家２名と電子メールでのコンタクトすることができた。しかし、上記の理由及び作家のスケジュール・体調関係からインタビューを実施する機会を持つことは叶わなかった。
