项目摘要

サルトルは状況演劇という演繹的方法で、キルケゴールが創始した実存主義思想を大衆と共有したことで知られている。それは、戦争や貧困、階級や時代によって条件づけられた状況下の人間が感じる葛藤や疎外感を表現するとともに、それらへの抵抗を通して人間の在り方を問う一つの＜呼びかけ＞である。人間の自由意志と選択の問題を扱う状況演劇は1950年代頃から盛んに上演され、日本でも唐十郎や大江健三郎などの作家に大きな影響を与えた。とりわけ『出口なし』（1944）は、今日でも世界中で上演され続けている。それは不条理な状況が解消されていないからに他ならない。世代を超えて上演され、人々に生き方や在り方を問うこのような状況演劇は、キルケゴールにおける「反復」であるとサルトルは言う。「反復」は物事の傍観者ではなく、状況の当事者であることを求める。かつてサルトルはベトナム戦争におけるアメリカの戦争犯罪を糾弾するために民衆法廷を創始したが、世界各国から「茶番劇」だとの非難を浴びた。しかし、最終的には三度の開廷を経て戦争犯罪を暴き、民衆法廷を常設化するに至った。この過程で彼は、客観的な知を拠り所にするのではなく、「真理を生成する」ことが重要であると述べている。ここでいう真理とはキルケゴールにおける主体的な「非―真理」であり、自らへの問いかけにより各々が自分に立ち戻ることで生成されうる。当事者として状況を生きることで初めて可能になるのである。サルトルは「キルケゴールを読むことによって、私は私にまで遡り、私はこの意味するものをとらえたいと思う。私がとらえるのは、私である。非―概念的なこの著作は、全ての概念の泉として、私を理解するための一つの誘いである」（『生けるキルケゴール』）と言う。本研究では、サルトルの状況演劇とキルケゴールにおける「反復」の関係性について考察したい。
