令和４年度は、東京外国語大学AA研共同利用・共同研究課題「理論言語学と言語類型論と計量言語学の対話にもとづく言語変化・変異メカニズムの探求」の2年目に当たり、そのメンバー19名の間で年６回の研究会（うち２回は公開）を開催したほか、メンバー２名との共同研究の成果も発表した。 また、東北大学研究プロジェクト・新領域創成のための挑戦研究デュオ「鳥類コミュニケーションシグナルの解析から理解する言語の生成と認知の脳内機構」 (代表:安部健太郎)も2年目を終えた。 研究業績としては、共編著『コーパスからわかる言語変化・変異と言語理論3』を令和 4年11月に開拓社から刊行したほか、国際ジャーナルLinguaに単著論文1編、国際ジャーナルStudia Linguisticaに別の単著論文1編（いずれも、日本語の文法化に関するもの）が採択され、電子版が先行公開された。また、The 12th Workshop on Phonological Externalization of Morphosyntactic Structure: Theory, Typology and History (Phex 12)で口頭発表した日本語の連濁と文法化に関する論文が、Proceedings (Phex 7)に掲載された。口頭発表としては、和田裕一氏・新国佳佑氏との共同研究を、ヨーロッパ言語学会(SLE)の第55回大会で8月に発表したほか、AA研共同研究課題の第６回研究会（公開）で、与格主語構文についての縄田裕幸氏との共同研究の成果と、幼児による日本語の右方周縁部の獲得に関する共同研究の成果を発表した。また、筆者の次女の発話を 7歳3ヶ月まで記録したものを、宮田スザンヌ氏に追加提供した。これはCHILDESから公開される予定である。また、肥筑方言の「の」主語についての森山倭成氏らとの共同研究も開始した。
