项目摘要

本年度は、十分な感染症対策を行いつつ、滋賀県米原市柏原の、天台宗談議所かつ中本寺である成菩提院の調査を、研究分担者・研究協力者と共に２回実施することができた。近代史料、中世史料や聖教と混在した近世史料、住職を務められ『日本天台史の研究』で知られる尾上寛仲氏の関係文書などを調査し、調査の大部分が完了した。また長期に亘る調査で作成した目録の点検作業なども進めた。調査時に別置であった史料の目録作成が未了であり、次年度はその整理作業を行い、整理を完了させたい。また、研究代表者単独での作業として、山形県鶴岡市の鶴岡市郷土資料館において、寺院や庄内藩の寺社政策に関わる既整理の史料を調査・撮影すると共に、未整理寺院史料の整理に着手した。新義真言宗の庄内藩における触頭である龍覚寺由来の龍覚寺文書と、浄土宗の触頭大督寺の触下である正覚寺由来の正覚寺文書については、目録作成が終了し、撮影を行った。また、時宗遊行派の触頭である長泉寺由来の長泉寺文書について、目録作成に着手し、途上である。研究代表者による成稿に至った成果として、旧稿における史料解釈を再検討し、寺院組織・僧侶集団の構造について述べた「教団構造と僧侶集団」（『社会集団史』）、宗教政策像について整理した「幕藩権力の寺社支配」（『論点・日本史学』）があり、また『新府中市史』近世史料編下、『平塚市史』別編寺社（２）では、教団組織・教団行政に関する知見によって史料の採録や、考察を行った。また研究分担者・研究協力者による、一覧に記載した宗教統制や宗教文化、成菩提院周辺地域などに関する業績を得た。その他、研究代表者は、時宗教団に関する、教団構造や幕府の寺院組織把握を巡る問題の再検討、近世の宗教関係偽法令の流布の具体相をめぐる問題など、検討を逐次進めており、次年度以降の成稿・公表を期している。
