今年度は富山市内13の小学校について、富山市がスマートシティセンサーネットワークで収集した登下校の児童の位置情報のデータを活用し、児童の登下校の特色を分析した。富山市のセンサーネットワークで捕捉される児童の位置はランドセルの位置であり、下校後の行動としても、帰宅してランドセルを置いた後の子どもの活用空間は把握できない。しかしながら、（１）登下校とも児童の流動に変化がない地区、（２）下校時に経路は変化がないが、滞留が増加する学校区、（３）下校後に活動空間が拡散する学校区と、今回調査した地域については大きく分けて３種類の下校のパターンに分類できることがわかった。これらの下校パターンの発生要因は、（A）富山市中心部からの距離、（B）新興住宅地の立地などで説明ができる。中心部には多様な習い事などが存在する。中心部の近隣の場合、帰宅後に次の活動を開始できるが、その周辺は学校から直接、それらの活動に出かけることから、下校後に活動空間が多様となる。さらに遠方では遠い地域への習い事を選択する機会が減少し、多様な活動が減少すると考えられる。また、新興住宅地は中心部の縁辺に隣接して位置することが富山市では多い。新興住宅地では共働き世帯も多く、学童保育のニーズが高い。学校区内で就業時間内の保育をまかなえない場合、学校区外へ学校から直接移動して学童保育を利用することから、今回把握された児童の流動を理解することができる。
