本研究は、中国の内政・外交において極めて重要な位置を占める「統一戦線」戦略（統戦外交）という中華人民共和国（以下、中国）ならびに中国共産党の思考・行動様式に関する実証的な事例研究を進めるものである。2022（令和4）年度も引き続き新型コロナによる国内・国外への渡航・移動制限などの影響を受け、本研究の主軸となる計画であった海外ならびに国内における史資料調査などが行えない状況が続いた。そのため、引き続き専門書店を通じた中国・台湾などからの史資料購入ならびにCNKI（中国語文献検索データベース）などを有効に活用した資料・論文調査・収集を進めているが、新規史資料の調査・収集には限界があり、これまで獲得した史資料の整理・翻訳・分析作業などを中心に本年度も研究作業を進めてきた。なお、これまでの研究作業から、（１）中国共産党（特に比較・対照、ならびに今日的意義の考察を行う基礎として、習近平政権時代）による歴史問題（戦犯処理問題などを含む）に関する諸政策の分析、ならびに（２）中国共産党（中国人民解放軍）の戦犯俘虜改造政策に関する考察をさらに深めるための各軍区の「集訓団」施設の情報収集・分析、（３）被処理対象となった国民党・政府・軍関係者自身による戦犯処理、すなわち中華民国の対日戦犯処理に関する資料調査・収集なども、あわせて進めることで、諸々の厳しい制約がある状況のなかでも、所定の研究目的を達成するため、研究を進めている。特に2022（令和4）年度は、（１）に注力し、（財）日本国際フォーラムでの研究会に引き続き参加し、報告ならびに論稿執筆を進めるほか、（２）に関しては、1950年代にいわゆる「中共地域」から引揚げてきた日本人からの聴取資料における「集訓団」施設の情報調査・収集・分析などを行うため、その基礎となる関連資料集の監修・刊行などを行った。
