本年度もパラスポーツ関連の研究を実施。ただし、コロナウィルス蔓延のため、予定通りの出張は実施できなかった。成果は日本財団パラスポーツサポートセンターより2報の論文を発表。下記に概要を述べる。第一に「スポーツ用義足の技術分析」論文をまとめる。スポーツ用義足は、オズールとオットーボックの2社が席巻している。両社ともスポーツ用義足の発明者であるVan Phillipsの技術を「買収」によって獲得している。そこで、「買収」の視点で分析と検討を行った。スポーツ用義足の研究はアメリカ中心に行われており、特許はPhillipsとオズールが中心であった。そして、オズールに着目して研究を売上高と特許との関係を回帰分析した結果、特許は売上高を決定する大きな要因であることがわかった。続いてPhillips特許がオズール特許に影響を与えているとの見地の元、買収年の2000年の前後10年、合計20年の期間を対象に回帰分析を行った結果、10年のタイムラグがあった。研究、特許公開・審査期間などを踏まえると、買収後6年半あたりから特許取得の効果が表出していた。この分野の技術キャッチアップには相当の資本及び人員が必要である。第二に「国立教員養成系大学のパラスポーツ授業分析」論文をまとめる。国立教員養成系大学におけるパラスポーツ教育の実施状況を明らかにするため、シラバスを対象に研究を行った。具体的には抽出データの定量分析を行い、「教員養成フラッグシップ大学」4校及び抽出した授業数が最も多い北海道教育大学について定性分析を行った。定量分析結果は36校中、オリンピック関連授業は63.9%、パラリンピック関連授業は30.6%、パラスポーツグループ関連授業は55.6%の大学で実施されていた。定性分析では、入学定員の多い北海道教育大学、東京学芸大学、大阪教育大学において関連授業が充足していることがわかった。
