多変量正規分布に無向単純グラブによって成分間の条件付き独立性を与えた統計モデルであるガウシアングラフィカルモデルの研究で進展があった．グラフが長さ４以上のサイクルまたはパスを誘導部分グラフとして含まないとき，パラメータ集合である凸錐は等質錐になることが知られているが，この設定のもとで成分の置換の不変性の制約を加えた場合もパラメータ集合が等質錐となることを証明できた．したがって様々な置換群に関する対称性を加えた統計モデルに関して正規化定数が明示的に計算でき，ベイズ統計の手法でモデル選択が可能となる．以上の研究はアンジェ大学（フランス）のPiotr Graczyk 氏，ワルシャワ工科大学（ポーランド）の Bartosz Kolodziejek 氏との共同研究である．統計多様体の理論において二重自己平行部分多様体は基本的で重要な対象である．対称錐の統計多様体としての構造はユークリッド的ジョルダン代数を用いて記述されるが，我々はユークリッド的とは限らない半単純ジョルダン代数の設定において二重自己平行部分多様体を代数的に特徴づけた．結合的代数のアファイン部分空間で逆元をとるという操作に関して不変なものを特徴づけることにも成功した．以上の研究は福井大学の小原敦美氏，政策研究大学院大学の土谷隆氏との共同研究である．指数型可解リー群の既約ユニタリ表現は余随伴軌道と一対一に対応づけることができ，しかも表現の代数的な情報が余随伴軌道の幾何的な情報に反映するという軌道の方法の理論は長い歴史を持ちながら現在も発展している．我々は，余随伴軌道がアファイン部分空間の開部分集合であるという条件のもとで，普遍包絡代数における微分表現の核と，アファイン部分空間の定義イデアルの間に自然な関係があることを発見した．これはスファックス大学の Ali Baklouti 氏（チュニジア）との共同研究である．
