项目摘要

2022年度においては、沖縄県内全域を対象とした近代の文化的資産に関わる調査を継続し、とくに那覇市内の戦後の都市形成史に関わる地域の詳細調査、沖縄島北部地域の近代の建造物に関する調査、沖縄県内の地域の祭祀に関わる建造物の近代化過程に関する調査を継続した。沖縄の近代化遺産全般についての特性を技術的、意匠的に総論として整理する作業を行い、学会発表へ向けた準備を行った。那覇市内の戦後の都市形成史については、出身地コミュニティとの関係で、来住者を支援しながら形成されてきた市街地形態の持つ意味についての詳細聞き取り調査を行うことができ、街区や社会基盤、共有空間等の形態自体が歴史的経緯を示すものであることを明らかにし、地域空間を歴史的経緯から解読することができた。沖縄島北部地域の近代化過程については、とくにコンクリート構造、鉄筋コンクリート造の戦前における技術的広がりについての個別調査を進めることができた。沖縄島北部地域には水路などの社会基盤施設や大宜味村旧庁舎等の公共施設の遺構が残されているが、これらが建設された背景として、地域にもたらされた近代的建設技術の定着過程についての仮説を得ることができ、次年度の調査へ向けた課題を明確にすることができた。上記と関連して、県内全般に見られる祭祀に関わる建造物の近代的な形態について、沖縄に元々は見られなかったと考えられる和風意匠を含めて事例を収集し、分析を行った。個別事例に関わる地域ごとの状況とともに、県内全般における近代の意匠や形態の広がりに関わる基礎的資料を収集した。
