项目摘要

本研究の目的は、斬新なフィールド実験を行うことで、発展途上国の貧困女性の健康管理行動を深く理解し、母子健康管理の利用を促進する介入をデザインすることである。初年度の終わりにCOVID-19が発生し、途上国貧困層の脆弱性が顕著となった。COVID-19により貧困層の健康、生計、生活がどのように影響を受けたかを検証することは、エビデンスに基づく政策に不可欠である。本研究は、この大きな環境変化に対応する。まず特定の途上国で大規模家計調査を行い、詳細な実態把握を行う。障害者は特に脆弱で、COVID-19による問題の深刻化が懸念されるが、アフリカにおいては障害者に関する基礎データそのものが欠如している。それに対処すべく、アフリカの障害者データの構築と分析を行う。それらの結果を踏まえ、COVID-19によって中断したフィールド実験を、ポストコロナの新しい環境下での途上国の貧困・保健問題に対応すべく、発展した形で行う。主に次を実施した。1.途上国におけるCOVID-19研究の文献調査2.カンボジアにおけるCOVID-19、健康、選好に関する家計調査：カンボジア計画省統計局と協力して、カンボジア社会経済調査2021の一環として全国規模の調査を実施した。3.アフリカの障害者についての研究：既存の家計調査データをもとに、アフリカ諸国の障害者データを構築した。この障害者データをもとに、障害と貧困の関係について分析を行った。
